Projects in progress

Last weekend I started these. I had found a pattern for Big Circle Granny Squares from Signed with an Owl's blog.  I'm just starting on round 4 of these.  What will I do with them? Undetermined as of now.

And I had gotten some of the Martha Stewart Alpaca  Blends yarn on sale at Michael's.  It's definitely a scarf yarn.  I think this one will go up on my Etsy story.  It's working up quick with this V-Stitch pattern.

So much yarn, so little time.

Finished Object Friday

In joining with Tami's Amis FO Friday's, my finished object is my granny stripe cowl.  Yes, I am wearing a Hello Kitty top. LOL, never too old to love HK.

I'm going to wear it with pride (pun - pride colours) tomorrow for the Walk for Memories, Alzheimer's walk.  I raised $400 for the local Alzheimer's society.

Valentine's Crochet

Got inspired to make something for Valentine's.  Going through patterns on what style heart to make I chose Cherry Heart's. I used my heart buttons for the center and a scalloped edging on the rope.

I've also been working on my granny stripe cowl. I was going to make a scarf but I don't have a cowl yet.

Frogging Friday

Well I was working on my 50 Shades of grey blanket and when as I was taking this picture I realized it was getting narrower. WTH? Somewhere I did notice I didn't have the 4 stitches up and the 4 down after high and low points.  Oh well, I guess I will frog it this weekend.  I did not get the full image in the picture, but it's starting to look more triangular. LOL
I started making some colourful things.  Using some of my ripple blanket yarn.

Granny triangles, probably for a bunting.

And a granny stripe scarf.

And for my resolution.  Weight watchers.  Not going to bad.  Walking on treadmill at work every lunch hour at least 20 min then 10 min on my last break.  Down a few pounds.  Not quick enough. LOL That's the thing with weight, doesn't take that long to put on the weight, but long pesky years to get it off.
I am hoping the walking is getting my legs, knees and feet ready for the Alzheimer's walk for memories next weekend.
This weekend looks like snow.  At least we are doing the walk in the mall.  Walking for cause and mall window shopping at the same time. Whoohoo.

Ripple Blanket Pride

I finally completed my Attic 24 Neat Ripple.  According to Ravelry, I started it Feb 18, 2012 and completed it today.  Yes, I am bursting with pride.  I did two rounds of the border scheme Lucy blogged about recently for her ripple blanket.  I works up quite quick and it's a durable edging.

And today, I'm doing a little granny triangle hooky.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

WIPs and Finished Project

I attended a lovely Stitch and Bitch with a few girls from work tonight.  Lovely cafe we went to and did get a bit accomplished. I managed the pink round on my giant granny.  And yes those are my Hello Kitty slippers in the picture.  I'm a big fan.

I've been working on this ruffle scarf that a co-worker loved the colours she said she'd like to buy it.  But, I started with more stitches then started taking some away.  Well, I might just frog it.  It seems most people who make these only use 5 or 6 stitches for a skinnier type scarf.
This pink one my wonderful friend in the states made me. Skinny and long enough to wrap around the neck twice.  I think I will do with this style.

These are made for a purpose.  Our dining chair sits against the wall and tends to scuff it up that honey had to fix the marks. So I thought I'd crochet something useful for the chair. Had to customize it a bit for the bar.
And with both on.
And finally........ My Attic 24 Neat Ripple finished, nearly.
I just want to get a border on it.  Might just try Lucy's she just did on her ripple recently. But it definitely needs it up the sides to hide the joins.
I cuddled up with it the last few nights in bed and it's so cozy warm. My first full size blanket. So proud.

Happy New Year!!

I was looking back on my projects made this year and surprised there was more than I thought.  I made up a few collage pics here.

I dug out my 50 shades of grey ripple blanket.  As you can see my suck wanted some attention.  Running out of yarn for this one.  I manged to get some of the variegated from a friend but went to Michael's for more black white and grey, SOLD OUT. I guess that was due to the sale of this Charisma yarn.

Oh, my Etsy purchase came in the mail this week.  Love them, sock monkey gloves. Texting gloves that is.

I am still working on knitting my scarf, other ripple blanket and giant granny square. I found a pattern to make it into a purse.  Just have to find some round handles.

Has anyone made New Years resolutions.  I have, lose weight.  Typical resolution.  But, this time I really have to do it. I don't want health issues early like my mom.  My knees are too sore.  So I joined weight watchers after seeing the numerous commercials. It worked for a co-worker.  Crossing fingers.
